Rottnest Breakfast

G’day members

The WX is looking not so good tomorrow but is supposed to be clearing by Sunday Morning with a chance of a light shower early on. The forecast winds for Rottnest around 9am Sunday are SSE at 24knots with gusts to 30plus knots. This no doubt will be beyond the demonstrated cross wind component of a lot of aircraft, and the comfort zone of a lot of pilots. So, what I suggest as an alternative is to either fly to Rottnest but, not land and do an orbit or two of the island and then make our way back to the coast towards Chimneys, then head south along the coast to Becher Point and then back to YSEN for an informal Morning Tea.

Another flight could be done up the VFR corridor to let’s say Mullaloo Point then turn back south along the beaches to arrive at YSEN by approx. 10am for morning tea. Some may wish to do a Victor 65. If you are keen to attend the morning tea whether you are flying or not and just want to enjoy the social gathering please text me with numbers for catering purposes on 0408 949 664 by 3pm Saturday.  For those flying on Sunday,  we can have a short briefing in the clubhouse at 8.15am.

As there will not be a first Sunday of the month breakfast at YBUN on the 6^th of September, I’m suggesting we have another run to Rottnest for Breakfast.  We can leave approx. 8.30am for an arrival at YRTI for 9am. If people are interested we can a quick briefing in the clubhouse at 8.15am before we depart.
