MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY PRIVILEGES
Anyone with an interest in aviation may join the club – initial membership can be either Social or Associate. After one year an Associate Member (not a Social Member) may apply for Full Membership, provided they meet the requirements of a license or ownership of an aircraft or aircraft project.

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP
- Access to the club email lists - Grapevine and Announce
- Access to the club website
- Receive the Club Newsletter
Please note: Social Members are required to seek permission if they intend to fly into Serpentine. Any time spent as a Social Member will not contribute to the 12-month requirement for Full Membership.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
- Access to the club email lists - Grapevine and Announce
- Access to the club website
- Receive the Club Newsletter
- Use of Club Aircraft if requirements are met.
- Use of SABC Maintenance Facility
- May fly into Serpentine Airfield without prior approval for periods no greater than one day. Longer stays will require committee approval
- After 12 months Associate Membership, Full Membership may be applied for.
FULL MEMBERSHIP
- Access to the club email lists - Grapevine and Announce
- Access to the club website
- Receive the Club Newsletter
- Use of Club Aircraft
- Use of SABC Maintenance Facility
- May fly into Serpentine Airfield without prior approval for periods no greater than one day. Contact committee for longer stays.
- May be allocated a hangar site
- May have an aircraft they own approved to be based at Serpentine (provided other requirements are fulfilled)
- May base a project at Serpentine
- The right to vote
- The right to stand for office (President position requires 4 years’ membership
- May propose or second nominations or motions.
