Preparations continue - this is the latest email from Rod Carter about preparations. Dated 1st September 2002
For more information - visit http://www.cunderdinaviationexpo.avon.net.au/ Gentlemen, Members of the Expo Committee have been busy on several fronts during the past week. We had a booth at the Dowerin Field Days and handed out heaps of brochures advertising our Easter Air show. Also encouraging that some people took a number of brochures to hand around at their home flying clubs etc.. Seems that wherever we go their is a positive response from the public. I'm starting to believe that the Easter air show at Cunderdin is going to be a great success because its hapening at the right place at the right time with the right people involved. This coming week should see some promotional material printed including posters, business cards and mail out brochures. Posters in particular will be distributed to all the States Flying Clubs. Finishing
touches to our funding applications have nearly been completed. We do
need as many letters of support as possible to accompany these applications.
We have plenty of local letters of support, but need more from Flying
Clubs and Business. Ive approcahed Royal Aero Club, Sports Aviation Builders
Club and Busselton Aero Club. If you can come up with any others they
will be much appreciated. I have been informed that most private aircraft owners only have 1 million dollars public liability cover on their aircraft, particularly those who are not commercial operators. So I will be looking into that issue further with the Councils Insurance Company. I have been informed that sponsorship of private aircraft would be interpreted as paying the recipient and therefore would require workers compensation cover. So I will be looking into that as well. Please dont hesitate to contact me with any such issues as they need to be resolved now, or the show will never get off the ground. Thanks to those who have already contacted me. The snowball has a couple of rocks to get over, but its rolling along at a fair pace. Regards........ Rod Carter For more information - visit http://www.cunderdinaviationexpo.avon.net.au/
