To all Members
Sports Aviation Builders Club
Serpentine WA

I'm pleased to update you on progress achieved in staging the Easter Air show at Cunderdin 2003.

Preparation of the site is under way with enthusiastic support from the Cunderdin Community. Our aim is to provide a weekend of family entertainment not only in the air but also on the ground. At present we are catering for a crowd of 5000 / 10000 and now have funding in place for TV Radio and Print promotion in Perth. We aim to display aviation as an activity accessible to the general public (whatever their preferred interest may be) and hope that your Club will take the opportunity to be involved with a static display and an aerial display during the event, thus promoting your club.

We would certainly welcome any of your Members who wish to fly or drive to Cunderdin for the Easter weekend. We are offering some fuel, and accommodation for any Pilots flying an aerial display. Please check out our Web site for further details at www.cunderdinaviationexpo.avon.net.au. Entry fees are being kept to a minimum at $10 per adult and $5 per child under 16. This covers both days of the Air show. There is also a show provided on the Sat night with live music, night flying model helicopters and hopefully a rocket launch. $5 entry There is no charge for a static display site.

The program so far includes:

  • RAAF PC9s and Hawks
  • RACWA Tigers, Chippys and Christian Eagle
  • Dunns Dromadier Water Bombers
  • Private Mooney, Conquest Cessna and Shrike
  • Jandakot Flight Centre Eagles
  • Corporate Air Spares Bell 47 Chopper
  • Private Mustang and Texan
  • WAGA Gliders
  • WA Paragliding Para gliders and Motor gliders
  • Sky Dive Skydiving
  • Sky Sports Hangliding
  • Windward Balloons Hot Air Balloon
  • WA Aero Modellers Jets, Choppers, Power Plains Gliders

Hope we can add some of your interesting aircraft to the list that seems to be growing daily.
