Centenary of Flight
Murrayfield - 16th November 2003

Notice dated 19th August 2003

To celebrate a 100 years of powered flight The Royal Aero Club will be conducting an Airshow at Murrayfield on Sunday November 16th. To help celebrate this day we would like as many SABC and SAAA members as possible to attend.

As this is a rather unique occasion we are keen to be able to have on flying or static display as many aircraft as possible.

Our last Air show attracted some 3000 people from local advertising. This year we are promoting this event in the Metro area as well as locally, and are expecting in excess of 6000 people on the day.

Werner Buhlmann will be looking after all aspects of the flying display and can be contacted at RACWA 9332 7722

Static displays or any other information contact

Joel Cooper at Murrayfield 9581 6222
Or
John Osborne 9535 5241

Please register your interest early as it will help with planning.

Hello All

With the Centenary of Flight Celebrations coming up in November, at Murrayfield, I thought that it was about time that a RACWA Diamond 9 formation team should be displayed in our C152 training aircraft.

Club member, Adrian Bere has agreed to take on the role as co-ordinator and team leader for these displays. Adrian, usually more at home in the Tiger Moth, has many hours of formation experience and has had a penchant for a slightly more unconventional formation shapes, such as that of the RAF red arrows etc.

Getting nine C152's and pilots through a low level Formation Aerobatic endorsement, may increase the likelyhood of mass heart attacks throughout CASA and RACWA, so we will we endeavour to keep it straight and level for the purpose of this exercise!

Those intending to participate will have to take the aircraft from Jandakot to Murrayfield and back again. there may be one or two already there for use by pilots flying other aircraft to the show....but these are logic sticks that can be worked out in time along with briefings and practise.

Please advise me if you are interested and I will put you in touch with Adrian.

Regards

Mick Harcourt
Club Captain, RACWA
