Glassair Super II RG

Progress on my Glasair...

I am back to the building now that the hangar is finished.

Firstly I replaced the com antenna in the vertical fin that was damaged by the elevators counter weight during movement testing.

Next I am working on the rudder pedals and brakes, currently laminating the support brackets into the fuselage.

Also I finished installing the main fuel tank caps and waiting on a shipment from the states for the aux tank caps.

While waiting for laminates to dry/cure I am fitting the canopy doors and latch hardware.

I have some news, my wing is now in the hangar having made the move from home to the airfield on the clubs trailer and was unloaded with Barry's help.

I am still finishing off the interior of the hangar while I am waiting on some more parts to arrive from the USA

The Aux tanks in the wing are nearly completed and are waiting for me to move the wing to the field where I will be able to complete them.

I also have only just got back out of hospital after further surgery to my shoulder on Friday, so I will be working on the hangar in the coming weeks before the wing is moved to join the fuselage at the field.
