Zenith CH200

Just after the 19th of Decembers highly successfully inspection of project (including slide show of advancement on project) by approximately 30 members by the SAAA/SABC (including a sausage sizzle cooked by Elizabeth Usherwood), Peter and Andrew Cove ran the engine successfully after discovering it was one of the older O235 Lycoming engines that need a primer to start the engine. Since then Peter and Andrew have made a lot of progress on the fuselage of the Zenith CH200 and now that the seats are in the aeroplane it's starting to looking like it's getting ready to fly. We're waiting on documentation on the seat belt arrangement as we want to use a double harness (Cessna 152) system rather that the lap sash type; we're also waiting for the latest AD's via the newsletter put out on Zenith aircraft from the Zenith Newsletter editors.

The next major job is to set up the control movement stops but this can only be completed after we have put in the seat belts as it difficult to squeeze through the gap after the controls have been connected.

I hope this bring everyone up to date.

Regards

Peter, Andrew and Fred

Just to let you know I've bought a partially complete Zenith CH200 approximately 90 percent complete which Barry Ranford and his mate Chris pick up and delivered to to Serpentine a few weeks ago. Initial stage of inspection of what has arrived is nearly complete.

Peter Cove has indicated he would like to go half share in the aircraft.
